CityVillage in Robina let’s you be part of a bigger story, but what does it mean and why is it so special? To paint the full picture, we first have to go back in history.
The Robina area is the brainchild of Dr Robin Loh, an international entrepreneur who was born in Indonesia. Dr Loh made his first fortune in salvaging oil refinery and wartime scrap metal. In 1980, he acquired a 20 square kilometre parcel of land located geographically at the centre of Gold Coast City. Soon after, Robina Land Corporation would be formed to generate detailed town planning and the large scale residential subdivisions that now make up the various Robina districts. This would be the start of what would become the master planned community of 30,000 people, with a thriving town centre, transport hubs, parks, health, entertainment and other major infrastructure surrounding it.
Over the last three decades, the Robina Group has delivered a 21st Century CBD in Robina for Gold Coast City residents. Being centrally located allows the area to enjoy economic advantages and logistical efficiencies which can’t be found on the coastal strip – yet still only a 10 minute drive to the nearest beach. Robina is now entering a new era in its evolution as Gold Coast City continues to thrive, and will continue to grow and redefine city planning for years to come allowing business to thrive and residents to enjoy easy access to everything they could ever need.
Which brings us to CityVillage, a key lakeside residential community at the heart of the masterplan. Everything residents are looking for is within easy walking distance from CityVillage. Cafés, fashion shopping, waterfront restaurants, Cbus stadium, four supermarkets, foodcourts, major gyms, banks a public and private hospital (under construction) along with the Gold Coast’s only full-service Automall, library, art gallery and performing arts centre and taverns just to name a few.
Gold Coast International Airport is fifteen minutes by car and Robina Train Station is within walking distance from CityVillage, allowing residents to easily travel to Brisbane or the Brisbane Airport which is only one hour away. Bond University and Varsity Lakes business centre is only a five minute drive from CityVillage.
